I have been working on a song about my beloved Grandmother, who passed away in 2022. I started working on the song after hearing the story of her wedding day as she lay in bed at the hospital, battling cancer. She was an incredible woman and a tremendous loss to my family. Her legacy is one that to this day stays with me. This song is about all those things.
I started recording 'Sweet Lorrita' in April of 2025, after battling with the lyrics since 2022. The track was recorded at Sonic Milk Studios in Cambria, Ca, and finally finished in Laurel Lane Studios in San Luis Obispo. I was in town visiting from Ireland. I was lucky enough to get my incredibly talented brother Warren Haskins to come to the studio to contribute guitar, backup vocals, piano, and shakers to the track, transforming what was a simple acoustic track, to a much more powerful and layered emotional listening experience. My 13-year-old niece Ella, was visiting the studio, and she sang as well. She contributed some beautiful backup harmonies, a true family affair. The result is a beautiful acoustic song that I am so proud to release.

‘EMBERS,’ An Album of Spoken Poetry integrated with ambient music comes out September 22, 2023. The spoken poetry album includes 24 original poems by Natalie Haskins.
The album includes hand selected poems from ‘Where Once Was A Fire: A Book of Love Poems,’ published last year, and includes a few new pieces. The album features accomplished producer, engineer and guitarist Damon Castillo adding music to each poem. It explores writings of love, passion, loss, heartache, redemption, self-love, body image, and cultural heritage.
